Keep in mind, though, that it usually takes year to (and IF you ever) get there and during that time you earn nothing or very little. Also, it can all end in a blink of an eye and with no prior warning when the platform changes the algorithm or rules or get sold to someone else or is shut down or re-branded.

None of these platforms are owned by the users even though the users and creators are the ones who made them successful in the first place. So what it took years to built can be torn down without giving the user any consideration whatsoever. It happened many times already, including YouTube where some users saw drastic fall in their income overnight or were cut off completely just because the rules have changed:
