Most of these reviews are written by trolls — people who deliberately hurt others because they revel in it. Some people are addicted to it and “review” hundreds upon hundreds of books per year with an average 2-star rating (they only rate positively the books written by their friends). They don’t care to read, they only like to destroy. So your appeal is laughable to them. Goodreads is notorious for this.
